Man Drives Drunk With Child In Car In Dutchess, Has Past Conviction: Sheriff

A 33-year-old man is facing felony drunk driving charges after deputies say he was caught driving under the influence with a child in the car in Dutchess County, according to police.

Millerton resident Roman I. Xo-ical was pulled over around 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, on North Elm Avenue in Millerton for traffic violations, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office announced on Thursday, March 20. 

During the stop, deputies said they determined that Xo-ical was intoxicated, and also saw that a child passenger was in the car with him. He was then taken into custody at the scene, the Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities charged Xo-ical with: 

  • Felony DWI (conviction within the last 10 years);
  • Felony aggravated DWI (child in the vehicle);
  • Traffic violations.

After being processed, Xo-ical was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Town of North East Court on Tuesday, April 8.
